About Socket

Socket enables efficient cross chains & transactions by aggregating bridges. Socket is designed security first, and has been battle tested with $3bn+ in volumes & 1.4mn txns.

70+ wallets & apps including Metamask, Coinbase, Rainbow, Zapper, Zerion & Slingshot trust Socket to power bridging for their users.

We currently support:

• 9+ chains including Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Polygon zkEVM, Arbitrum, BSC, Aurora, Fantom, Avalanche and Gnosis.
  • Solana, zkSync, BASE & more chains coming in Q2
• 10+ bridges including Optimism Native, Arbitrum Native, Polygon PoS native, Hop, Multichain, Celer, Stargate, Across & Connext. DEX Aggregators such as 1inch and 0x.
  • Developers can whitelist or blacklist bridges or DEXs based on their needs & use cases.

Security

• Contracts: We have highest security standards: immutable contracts, no proxies, owner cannot update the contracts.
  • Every bridge is a module that points to the bridge contract. Socket can never edit any module, or the address a module points to. Owner contract can only ‘rescueFunds’ or ‘pause’ the contracts.
  • Note: Socket contracts never actually hold funds, they are only responsible for routing user funds.

• Socket Verifier Libraries
  • Socket Verified Libraries eliminate all trust dependency on even Socket’s off-chain components.
  • These are on-chain libraries that allow clients to validate things like target address & txn input parameters against the params they provided to self-monitor the txn data being executed. Highest level of transparency for clients.

Reliability & Support

• Users get stuck on their transactions frequently because of bridge reliability issues like drained liquidity pools/downtimes/congestion etc. We minimise user impact significantly with:
  • Bridge liquidity checks: no routes for bridges with no liquidity to avoid user transactions getting stuck.
  • Dynamic Bridging Time: Nothing creates more anxiety than bridging taking more time than shown. We predict bridging time for each transaction for fastest & most reliable bridging experience
  • Bridge Protection (Coming Soon): guarantees that users will receive the guaranteed amount within a given time period. Does not matter if bridge goes down, or hacked. Max reliability!
